Who we are

The Seasons Assessment at whatseason.com is run by Shelly and Jason Yost, doing business as New Rhythm Marriage, in Evans, Georgia, USA. Questions about anything on this page go to jyost@newrhythmco.com.

What we collect

• Your first name and email address, which you type in before you start.
• Your answers to the thirty-six questions and the one warm-up question, and the scores and season we calculate from them.
• If you take it at a live event, the event code on the link you scanned and, if you choose to link with your spouse there, the shared word and your spouse's first name you type to make the link.
• The date and time you finished.

That is the whole list. We do not ask for your last name, phone number, address, or anything about your children.

Where it lives

Everything is stored in the United States, in accounts that belong to us, with three companies doing the work:

• Google. Your answers, scores, name, and email are stored in a private Google spreadsheet, and Google's servers run the scoring.
• HighLevel (which sends mail through Mailgun). It holds your name, email, season, and scores so it can send your results and the guide. Your individual answers are never sent to HighLevel.
• Netlify hosts this website and keeps ordinary server logs, such as the time of a visit and the network address it came from. The page's fonts load from Google, which sees the same kind of log.

Your data is protected by the account security of those companies, and access on our side is limited to the two of us. We do not sell your information, share it with advertisers, or give it to anyone else.

Who can see it

Shelly and Jason Yost. No one else on our side.

Your spouse, only if you choose to link. If you send your spouse the invite link and they take the assessment, each of you sees the other's first name, season, and the six area scores. Neither of you ever sees the other's individual answers. If you never send the link, your spouse sees nothing.

Event hosts never see your results. If you take it at a church or group event, the organization hosting it does not receive your answers, scores, or season. At most we tell a host how many people took part and what the overall patterns looked like, with no names attached.

Your results link

Your results and your combined report each live at a private link with a long random code in it. The link is not guessable, but anyone you give it to can open it, so treat it the way you would treat a photo. We also store the link in HighLevel so we can email it to you.

What we email you

Your results and the guide for your season, right after you finish. Then two short notes about the combined report, one a couple of days later and one a few days after that. If your spouse finishes, one more email telling you the combined report is ready. That is the full list; nothing else is scheduled.

Every email has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops the emails and does not delete your results.

Our email service records whether an email was opened and which links in it were clicked. We use that only to see whether our emails are working. Replies to any of our emails come to us directly.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies and uses no advertising or analytics trackers. While you are answering, your progress is held in your own browser's storage so a dropped connection does not lose your place; it is cleared from your device the moment your results are submitted.

Keeping and deleting

We keep your results so your link keeps working and so we can see, over time, how couples are doing in general. To have everything deleted, email jyost@newrhythmco.com from the address you used and we will remove your row from the spreadsheet and your contact from HighLevel, usually within a few days. After that your results link stops working.

If you linked with your spouse, deleting your results also removes your season and scores from their combined report.

Adults only

The assessment is for married adults. It is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has taken it, email us and we will delete it.

What this is not

The assessment is a reflection tool, not counseling, therapy, or a clinical or diagnostic instrument, and nothing in your results is medical or legal advice. If there is physical harm or fear for your safety in your relationship, this is not the right next step. Changes to this page

If we change how the assessment handles your information, we will change this page and update the date below. We will not apply a new practice to information you have already given us without telling you.
